WHEN MUST I PAY?

Fees are charged every 5 weeks and must be paid by the 2nd week of lessons. A late fee of 10% may be charged after this time. (see Terms and Conditions)

HOW DO THE LESSONS WORK?

All lessons are normally individual (one-on-one) except theoretical lessons. Five Dock Music School believes that this is the best approach to giving the student all they need. Teachers design the lessons for each individual and you can therefore request the style of learning best suited to you, not a group. However if you have 2 or 3 people who are of a similar standard and want to learn together this can be arranged.

Theory lessons can be in groups of up to 3 students sitting the same grade exams and are charged accordingly.

CAN I STUDY FOR EXAMS?

Five Dock Music School encourages students to sit exams when they are ready to do so. We have regular success with students sitting AMEB and CPM exams. Exams are available on all instruments. Discuss with your teacher as to whether you are ready for an exam.

We also offer aural training in preparation for exams

We will prepare you for HSC theory and practical requirements.

WHAT AGE IS TOO YOUNG OR OLD?

All ages are welcome and encouraged to learn an instrument. However certain instruments require strengths that may not be present at very young ages. If after consultation you are still unsure it is best to organize a trial lesson (charged at the normal rate but gives you a chance to see if you like the instrument).
