Suzanne has worked as a professional percussionist and drummer for over 20 years. During that time she played with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and with many touring musicals, including Cats, Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera. She has appeared with Shirley Bassey, Gene Pitney, Ray Charles and Split Enz, and played drums in Auckland’s Queen City Big Band.
She has taught percussion and drums to students aged from five to 75, privately and in schools and tertiary institutions. Since 1995 she has been a member of orchestral management teams in New Zealand and Australia including orchestral management with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, which performs with Opera Australia and The Australian Ballet at the Sydney Opera House. She has also stage-managed theatrical performances in Europe.
Euan studied clarinet at the Royal College of Music in London. He joined the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra in 1976 as Principal Bass Clarinet, a position he still holds.
He has performed with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and several major chamber-music groups in Sydney. He has also played for shows and made many commercial recordings. Career highlights include performing with Luciano Pavarotti, Dame Joan Sutherland, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Bryn Terfel and many other singing greats.
